Pigs have flown! Duke Nuke Forever finally coming out!
Sep 4th
This is not a fake post, but after 12 years in development Duke Nukem Forever is officially coming out in 2011, Demo playable at Penny Arcade Expo! Duke Nukem the original “Bad Ass” of the gaming world, best known for killing pigs that wear cop uniforms and giving money to strippers to shake it, his mouth was salty enough to cure pork and the rock music in the background just set the town of Duke Nukem 3D, one of the greatest First Person Shooters of all time, but a true sequel never actually game out, until now. In case you didn’t know this game has been kind of a joke in the gaming industry due to it’s long term “development”. Reports have surfaced over the years that the game was done but the graphics where out of date because it took so long, so the production team just started over. I’ve heard it was going to be written in Ruby on Rails, I’ve seen “screen shots” of completed versions. Anyone who has followed this game’s development has heard plenty of these stories. Gearbox Software (makers of Borderlands) one of my personal favorite developers has taken up the torch and made this game a possibility. This game has been the laughing stock of the gaming world for so long, but there is one thing left to say…

6-26-2010 The Big Bang
Jun 22nd
Being the Doctor Who fan that I am, actually I’m more of a SciFi fanatic. Anyway, even though Doctor Who is “silly” as far as SciFi goes it’s still great fun to watch, so in honor of that I too have sponsored a crack to appear on my website, if you don’t know what that means just watch Series 5 (what we Americans would call a season on T.V.)
So watch Doctor Who, and enjoy The Big Bang on 6-26-2010.
Next Review, Great Indie Games on sale, & Steam for Mac!!!
May 13th
Just posting an update, the next game review is Rocket Knight for the Sega Genesis, after which we will be looking at the new version that is out for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC, I will also be doing a small history over Rocket Knight as it has a long and interesting tale behind it, much like it’s protagonist, Sparkster.
I would like to mention that Wolfire Games is having the Humble Indie Bundle sale, 6 great indie games in a bundle, you name the price, really, you can make the price as low as 1 cent if you want to, anyway the games work on windows, Linux, and Mac, have no drm (not even the download links are protected), and the best part is that you choose how the money is spent, all to charity, all to developers, or split. I read a news article that said that nearly 25 percent of the downloads they see are possibly piracy, I thought that was sad, people won’t even give a penny to get anything legal. Checkouts are done through paypal, amazon, google, you choose who you buy through, and you can even gift the games!
One last thing, Steam is now out for everyone on Mac, and to celebrate they are giving portal to everyone (Mac and PC) for free until the 24th, while I did criticize Portal’s shortness it is still great for a play through and you can’t beat the price. The best part about Steam being on Mac is that when you buy a game for one platform you get it for the other for free, and all of your back catalog works as well. Welcome to the party Mac gamers!!!
